Computer Science (CS) or Information Technology (IT) !!! Which is better one ??

Computer Science (CS) or Information Technology (IT) !!! Which is better engineering stream ??

This is the one question which is normally arising in a student's mind when he/she is in the race of engineering college counselling or engineering college admission ....

Which is better stream CS or IT !!!
So let's start with the brief detailing of both streams --

Computer Science deals with the development and testing of software and software systems.
Information Technology deals with the development, implementation, support, and management of computers and information systems.

CS involves working with mathematical models, data analysis and security, algorithms, and computational theory.
IT involves working both with hardware (e.g. CPUs, RAM, hard-disks) and software (e.g. operating systems, web browsers, mobile applications).

CS professionals are the ones who establish the computational principles that are the basis of all software we are using. Their work is behind data transfers and storage, security standards and encryption, and so on.
IT professionals make sure that computers, networks, and systems work well, whether they are used by home users, big companies, hospitals, governments, and so on.

Now, we move further, and see what can be the next ---

Specialisations in Computer Science (CS) :

  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Machine Learning
  • Human-Computer Interaction (HIC)
  • Data Science
  • Cyber Security
  • Cloud Computing
  • Video Game Development

Specialisations in Information Technology (IT) :

  • Network Administration
  • System Administration
  • IT Security
  • Enterprise Systems
  • IT Management
  • International Biometrics
  • IT Strategy and Innovation
So, in short --
There is no such thing as “better” because they lead to different careers and have different specialisations or subfields.
Now you know all the major differences between IT and Computer Science — two fields that are closely related but separated by their focus, curriculum, and future job responsibilities.

Is Engineering Mathematics very difficult subject ??

Computer Science and it's Allied branches

Computer Science and it's Allied branches

At the time of selection of college and streams, if you are confused which stream should be chosen...if it will be right option or not...if it has future or not...
Then we are here to discuss about some engineering option one by one in our blog...
So, in this article we are going to discuss about Computer Science and it's allied branches or streams.

Computer Science is basically the study of theory, design, implementation and performance of computer software and computer systems. They design and implement software and take on challenging programming jobs. They develop effective ways to solve computing problems.

Information Technology emphasize the technology itself. Today, organization of every kind are dependent on information technology. They need to have appropriate systems in place and these systems must work properly, upgraded, secured and maintained.

Computer Engineering is actually concerned with the design of computer hardware and of computer based devices. It involves the study of hardware, software, communication and the interaction with them.

If you need any further guidance or help or any engineering subjects classes we are here to assist you.
But,
Always keep in mind whatever stream you are choosing, it should be in your character. Don't just blindly follow the friends, siblings or society because finally you have to go with that stream in next 4 years course duration and afterthat.
